Check the DNS resolvers your browser uses

A DNS resolver helps translate domain names into network addresses. This test triggers fresh browser requests to unique hostnames so the test infrastructure can report the resolvers observed answering those queries.

Run the standard test for a quick check or the extended mode for more probes. If you use a VPN or custom DNS service, compare the provider names with the setup you expect.

Does an unfamiliar resolver prove a DNS leak?+

A different provider can reflect custom DNS, secure browser DNS or the VPN’s infrastructure. Review your expected settings before deciding whether a result is unwanted.

Why can a DNS test be incomplete?+

Network filtering, blocked probe hosts or an unavailable test service can prevent resolver reports. An incomplete result is not an all-clear. You can cancel the run and retry after your connection changes.
